Floral wedding invitations are always beautiful and make a good wedding invitation décor when one is trying to decide upon a theme for a wedding. Floral wedding invitations can be depicted in many different ways, so don’t think you are off the hook just because you came up with the floral idea! As with any wedding invitation, a color palette will need to be chosen and a style will need to be decided on.

Floral wedding invites also have the unique opportunity of offering up the chance to pick out a flower. It is best not to think of this as an extra chore, but instead as a way to further show meaning in the union of you and your fiancé. This is probably the reason that rose wedding invitations are so popular with engaged couples. The rose is one of the best flowers for a wedding because it has symbolized love for hundreds of years. In fact during Victorian times different colors of roses had different meanings. The red rose meant passionate love and red and white roses together symbolized unity.

Of course if you are looking to do something a little different, there are plenty of other types of flowers that have some great symbolism for weddings. For example the daffodil means chivalry, or may be you could use lilacs, which represents one’s first love, if that is the case, a Hyacinth means sincerity, an Orchid symbolizes a delicate beauty and a Pansy represents loving thoughts. If you are considering flowers as you main theme, then it might even be fun to write the meanings of the flowers you are using on small pieces of paper or to somehow include them in your wedding. You might even find different poems about flowers in romance.

You will want to keep in mind that all flowers have different costs and putting them on your wedding invitation might not be quite enough. I think it is expected that the flowers used on the invitations would show up again somewhere in the wedding décor. If you are using some expensive flowers as the focal point, it may not be necessary to use a lot of those particular flowers. You could mix them with some cheaper flowers to cut down on your costs. You could also repeat the flowers graphically throughout your printed pieces so that it feels like there are more of those types of flowers. Color could play into this as well, you may just need to make sure to get some flowers that are similar in color to create this illusion.

Floral wedding invitations are a great choice for wedding invitations. There are plenty of choices to pick from. Even daisy wedding invitations, to infer an innocent country feel, are popular these days!
