If you are planning an island get away for your beach wedding then perhaps you have decided to go with the seashell as the theme for your wedding. This is actually a really great choice because it can allow for your wedding to have a more elegant feel to it than a tropical wedding invitation would. The soft ivories and beiges mix very well with the whites of a traditional wedding. A neutral color palette is also a bit easier to work with as a base because it can work nicely on it’s own or another color can be picked to mix with it.

The seashell is a beautiful shape. Their are many different types of seashells that can be used. You could go with the traditional fan shaped shell or even try one that is more cone or spiral shaped. You should try to decide if you want a mix of these or if you would prefer to stick to one shape. This can make a difference in the tone of the overall theme.

Another great thing about using seashells is that you should be able to easily and cheaply buy actual seashells for any sort of decor. This is an obvious choice of course. You could even use them to decorate things if you are trying to decided on your decor. It is also fairly easy to find seashell jewelry for your bridesmaids.

Whenever it comes to the seashell invitations, there are many options when it coms to the design. You could have a close up cropped view of a seashell, or you could have a small seashell that is elegant and apart of the type. It really depends on the style that you are trying to achieve. A cropped version or patterned version may look more casual while the smaller version could inherently look more formal depending on the type choice.

Seashell wedding invitations are a really great choice when you are trying to pick something to represent a beach theme wedding. They are much easier to use as a representation and they are also great to use to convey a level of formality, when used properly, because of their elegant shape.
